James Hugh Stevenson

James Hugh Stevenson has been working as a professional English teacher in Japan for over ten years. He currently works as an English teacher in a private high school in Hokkaido, Japan.

James is the primary author of the textbooks for Premier Potential Publishing. 

James began his writing career after spending many years writing bespoke English lessons for his students. James realised that there are a lot of generic books on the market, but there are not many for English language learners with specific needs.

Originally from the UK, he now lives in Hokkaido in Japan. James has a great deal of experience teaching English in schools, hospitals, tourist information centres, private companies and to individuals. James has had a varied career. He has worked around the world as a journalist, in business and in the hospitality industry. 

He travelled extensively around the globe until he was suddenly stopped in his tracks by the love of his life. Reluctantly, he took off his boots and put his backpack into storage. 

James now lives happily with his wife in Hokkaido. He spends his time teaching, writing and enjoying life with his wife and friends.
